Linda and I were good friends all the way through school in Beatrice. We went to many activities together. We walked by the athletic field one day and the guys were in a track meet. Linda asked to compete! They let her in one running event and she received a ribbon. Her remark years later was she was born too early. When my oldest daughter, Cathy, entered kindergarten in Lincoln, With first child out jitters was thrilled to walk into the Rousseau classroom to find my dear friend was going to be her teacher.

I have stayed in touch with Linda all of these years and am saddened by her death. Linda was one of our large group of friends in high school that shared birthdays, attended school events, etc. I find it difficult to think that she is gone.

Linda volunteered at Prescott School for many years! She was so helpful to our 1st graders and kindergarten students. She and Jim came twice a week, and we were so greatful for their help. I will miss her friendly, smiling face! I am so sorry to her family for their loss.
