|There are a few of us left at the University who had the honor and privilege of working with Ed. The thing many of us learned in working with Ed was "either do it the correct way or don't do it". Ed had the respect of the farming community and showed many of us on how to conduct on-farm research correctly. We had many good laughs and the memories are precious. May God provide your family with strength and peace. |

|Family, I am about to retire, tomorrow is my last day. Ed was a colleague of mine from when I started in 1984 until he retired. Ed did great work on Iron Chlorosis of soybeans by evaluating varieties, chemical applications and management strategies. We are currently revising the micronutrient NebGuide which still has some of his recommendations. Of course, Ed made many more contributions, but I always remembered him as someone who had the farmer's best interest at heart, and knew what was needed to make our information practical.
I am sorry for your loss, and hope your memories give you peace.|

|Carol, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your father. If he was anything like you he was a truly remarkable person. I am adding him to my prayer list. May God shower you and your family with special graces at this time . . . .|
