Agnes Keeley Amos
June 16, 1923 – January 2, 2018
Agnes Keeley Amos, 94, of Lincoln died January 2, 2018. Agnes was born on
June 16, 1923 in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Catherine Conoboy Keeley and
Michael J. Keeley. As a girl, she studied voice and piano, and sang on an
Atlantic City radio station. She worked in various clerical positions, most
notably at Atlantic City Hospital and the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.
During World War II, Agnes worked as a civil servant for the U.S Army, and later
for the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War. In 1954, Agnes married broadcast
equipment executive William Edward Amos, and in 1959, gave birth to their
Agnes is preceded in death by her brothers Joseph, John, and Mathias Keeley,
and by her sisters Kathleen Hemphill, Mary Bauer, and Peggy Keeley. She is
survived by her husband William Amos, her daughter Brigid Amos, her son-in-law
Robert Graybosch, her sister Ann Kavanagh, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held. Memorials may be sent to Boys Town.
