Colin, Ron


 

Ronald L. Colin, of Lincoln, passed away January 11, 2018, at the age of 70.  Ron was born on January 25, 1947, in Lincoln, to Robert E. Colin, Sr. and Lucile (Sacrider) Colin, and graduated from South East High School and the University of Nebraska. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the U.S. Army.   Ron was operator of Colin Electric Motor Service, a third generation family company.    

Ron was an active member of the Elks Club, the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Shrine.  He was a Board Member Emeriti of Lincoln Midwest Ballet and he performed for many years with the cast of the Nutcracker.  He was also involved in numerous other community organizations and boards.

Ron is survived by his daughter Angela Roberts of Lincoln, his son Scott   Lippstreu (Jessica) of New York City, his sister Sandra Love (Pat Glenn) of Lincoln and his brother Bob Colin, Jr. (Lorene) of Lincoln, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 2 pm to 4 pm at Butherus Maser and Love funeral home, 4040 A St, please use the west door.

Ron was a generous and wise support for Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company. For me personally , he was reliable, friendly help while I was president. He will be missed by many.
